Good’ day, I was born and raised in Australia but I’m currently situated in Europe due to my husband’s start-up. I have a degree in teaching and education and I also hold a Tesol certificate and an IELTS teaching certificate. My first teaching job was as a Primary school teacher for 8 years. For the last 12 years I’ve been an ESL teacher, tutoring kids and adults on-line in both group and individual lessons, which I have found it quite exciting because it gives me the chance to meet students from all over the world. I’ve been working on-line with kids and teenagers and have experience in using interactive sources such as gamification and e-books. I also incorporate lots of props to encourage my students’ learning process and engage them in the lesson. Props are a great way to get students’ attention and I reckon they make the lesson memorable and they provide an anchor for knowledge recall. I have also been working with adults and young adults who wish to improve their General English skills or Business skills so as to communicate with other people in English when travelling abroad or in their workplace and I also prepare students for inter-national exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, CPE and FCE. I also help students with more pro-fessional needs such as Business, Law, Finance, or Tourism. In my free time I love to draw and cook. I think the creativity of drawing and cooking is what really excites me just like teaching
