Hello there.
My name is Stefaniya Wood. I started my career in teaching lecturing Academic Writing and Critical Thinking that led me to teach English as the second language 10 years ago. Since then I have taught English to a large number of students online and live around the world. I have helped a number of students to prepare for the international exams such as the IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, CAE and GRE and gain desirable grades. Besides helping with exams, I work with students who want to improve English for job and career purposes.
My academic background consists of BSc Hons in Psychology 2.1 and unfinished PGCE Primary. Moreover, I was offered PhD place in Developmental and Forensic Psychology from the King’s College in London. I postponed my PhD because of family circumstances. In addition, I successfully completed TEFL 60 hours course in i-to-i in 2012.
I truly believe that teaching is also a learning process for a teacher. My teaching method is based on Positive Thinking, humor and a good subject knowledge. I prefer to simplify things rather than complicate the understanding of them using Mathematical approach. Due to my studies and research, I encourage students to achieve their goals because I truly believe that the impossibility does not exist.
I work with students of Pre-Intermediate level and higher levels of English. My students are of a variety of age but the youngest one is of preadolescent age. Every student is an individual and one of my main goals is to find the right approach to a student and work with him as the team rather than apart.
